PA MEDI

PA MEDI is a statewide service operated by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging through the state’s Area Agencies on Aging. PCA is Philadelphia’s AAA.

In collaboration with the Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of Elders (CARIE) and Einstein Medical Center, PCA provides PA MEDI health insurance counseling services without charge to Philadelphia residents who are eligible for Medicare, as well as their caregivers.

PA MEDI Counseling Sessions

Medicare beneficiaries in Philadelphia can arrange for a PA MEDI counseling session by contacting Einstein Medical Center at 215-456-7600 and CARIE at 215-545-5728. Those seeking PA MEDI program consultations are advised to have their Medicare cards readily available prior to scheduled counseling sessions.

PA MEDI counselors at PCA are standing by to assist older Philadelphians with:

  • Advice on Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans.
  • Information and advice regarding drug prescription plans.
  • Choosing the right Medicare plan based on a caller’s needs and budget.
  • Assisting in enrolling in Medicare during its initial enrollment period or open enrollment periods.
