Important update about the Coalition Against Hunger

John Deangelis

Repurposed from www.hungercoalition.org

For 28 years the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger has strived to ensure those in our local communities have the food they need to live healthy lives. The coalition’s work to connect households with SNAP benefits, strengthen local food networks, and address the root causes of food insecurity comes at a significant cost. Over the past year, the organization has struggled to secure the funding necessary for this crucial work.

The Coalition Against Hunger will close on Friday, June 28.

This sad news is especially difficult for the coalitions’ clients, partners and employees.  Click below for other food resources, including SNAP benefits and local food sites.

Older adults who are in need of food or regular meals can contact the PCA Helpline at 215-765-9040 for information about PCA’s home-delivered meals, senior center meals and free produce voucher programs.
