Engaging in Aging Expo Brings Philadelphians Together to Support Older Adults
PCA and The Sarah Ralston Foundation hosted Engaging in Aging: A Volunteer & Donor Expo. The free community-wide event connected Philadelphians with nonprofits dedicated to supporting older adults and strengthening the services that help people age safely and with dignity.
Nearly 40 organizations participated, giving attendees the chance to meet trusted partners in one place, learn about local needs, and explore ways to get involved through volunteer roles, in-kind donations, financial support, and community outreach. Participating organizations included ARTZ Philadelphia, Center in the Park, Jewish Relief Agency, Penn’s Village, and other community partners.
The expo also featured speakers who underscored the importance of showing up for older neighbors and highlighted how individuals and families can make a real impact across Philadelphia. Presented by The Nutrition Group, the event created opportunities for attendees to ask questions directly, discover the right fit for their interests, and leave with clear next steps for getting involved.
