Empowering Communities Through Knowledge and Partnership
PCA’s Clergy Interfaith Coalition Meeting, held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, brought together faith leaders and community partners to increase awareness of healthcare and financial support programs available to older adults. The program, Understanding Healthcare and Financial Support Programs for Older Adults, featured presentations from representatives of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Social Security Administration (SSA), and CLARIFI, providing attendees with timely information on Medicare, Social Security benefits, and financial counseling resources. Participants also had the opportunity to connect with exhibitors and ask questions directly to presenters.
The meeting reinforced PCA’s commitment to equipping trusted community leaders with the knowledge and resources needed to assist older Philadelphians in navigating complex benefit programs. The event concluded with updates from PCA’s Community Engagement Department and an open discussion, encouraging continued collaboration between faith-based organizations, government agencies, and community partners to ensure older adults have access to the information and services they need to remain healthy, financially secure, and independent.
