PCA’s Annual Report highlights agency’s impact on area seniors
Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) has released its annual report, which highlights the agency’s impact on the lives of Philadelphia area seniors. The 2018-19 report conveys the agency’s mission, funding and governance and highlights personal stories from several people who have been assisted by PCA.
Some highlights from the annual report:
- PCA served 2,330,725 meals to older adults at senior community centers and satellite meal sites and through its home-delivered meals program.
- The Emergency Fund for Older Philadelphians provided $184,023 in crisis assistance to 1,613 low-income seniors for expenses such as home heating fuel.
- Transportation programs sponsored by PCA provided 273,327 rides to seniors and people with disabilities.
- PCA provided service coordination, or care management, to 20,240 seniors through Pennsylvania’s Aging Waiver, Options, caregiver support, protective services and other programs.
