Journey’s Way Adult Day Services & Senior Center Moving to New Facilities After December 17

Journey’s Way: Resources and Programs for People 55+, a program of Intercommunity Action, is moving to two new state-of-the-art facilities, designed to serve the community’s elders. The Adult Day Service program for people who need daytime supervision and services will open on Monday, December 21 at 4200 B Mitchell Street on the first floor of the Journey’s Way senior apartment facility, Pensdale II. The Senior Center for active older adults will open on Monday, December 28 at 403 Rector Street.

To help open and equip the Adult Day Service Center, a Housewarming Shower Fundraiser will be held at the new facility on Wednesday, December 16 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event will feature tours, information and refreshments. Journey’s Way is asking the community to make a donation.  Needed items are listed on www.journeys-way.org and on registries at local shops, including Kohl’s, Target, and Bed Bath & Beyond under Journey’s Way.  Requested items include kitchen supplies, personal care items and furniture.  For further information, call Journey’s Way at 215-487-1750.
